Cranberries Lead Singer, Dolores O’Riordan Dead At 46

Sad news to report as lead singer of alternative band, The Cranberries, Dolores O’Riordan has passed. O’Riordan was only 46 years old.

No cause of death has been revealed. The singer was in London for a recording session on a new album.

Their most popular hits included Zombie and Linger. They split up in 2003 and re-formed in 2009.

Last year the band released an acoustic album, Something Else, but had to cancel tour dates in Europe and North America because of O’Riordan’s ill health.

Expendables 4 On The Way?

Looks like we are getting another Expendables sequel. Despite having a great villain like Mel Gibson in the last film, the third film felt a little flat and wasn’t very memorable.

Stallone posted a photo of him, Jason Statham, and Randy Couture in a previous Expendables movie on Instagram that said “We are the shadows and the smoke, we rise. We are the ghosts that in the night.” He added the caption, “Just when you thought it was safe to go outside…They’re coming back!”

Would you be excited for another go around with the Expendables? Or do you think this franchise is done? Let us know in the comments below.

Role Call #32 Casting Disney’s Uncanny X-Men

The unthinkable has happened. The X-Men are finally coming home to Marvel Studios. But what will this new and Uncanny X-Men look like? Here’s HipZOMJoint’s Role Call 32: CASTING DISNEY’s UNCANNY X-MEN!

Bryan Cranston as Professor X

Cranston is a fantastic actor deserving of a franchise. He’s played the villain and the hero while taking on the role of a mentor. Perfect for a new older Xavier.

Richard Madden as Cyclops

Madden has the right look to play the super serious team leader of the X-Men. The Game Of Thrones vet would be a fine addition to the new X-cast.

Evan Rachel Wood was born to play Jean Grey. She has the beauty and the poise to play Jean.

Lauren Cohan as Rogue

Cohan is everyone’s favorite southern belle on The Walking Dead. She could finally bring the right kind of spunk needed to play Rogue.

Joel Edgerton as Beast

Edgerton has shown he can play the wimpy brainy guy and the athletic fighter throughout his filmography. He would be a great choice to play Beast.

Iko Uwais as Nightcrawler

Uwais is the best action star you have never heard of. His fighting choreography in the Raid franchise is a work of art and would lend itself perfectly to Nightcrawler!

Kat Graham as Storm

The Vampire Diaries Kat Graham has an exotic look to bring us a new fresh take on Storm.

Sam Claflin as Gambit

Forget Channing Tatum! Give us Claflin as the cocky raging Cajun, Gambit! Claflin is no stranger to big franchises having starred in The Hunger Games as Finnick Odair.

Liam Hemsworth as Colossus

To play the part of the young Russian powerhouse you need a young powerhouse actor. Why not Independence Day Resurgence’s Liam Hemsworth?

Sarah Hyland as Kitty Pryde

For Kitty you need someone wide eyed and innocent but also looks like she can throw down at any moment. Why not Modern Family’s Sarah Hyland.

Scott Eastwood as Wolverine

The son of legendary actor Clint Eastwood has played the leading back up character throughout most of his filmography up until the point. This would be a great opportunity for him to land a role as big as Wolverine. The fan art above gives us a good impression of what he’d look like.

David Morrissey as Magneto

Morrissey’s frightening take on the role of the Governor on the Walking Dead was great. Now just imagine that commanding voice as the Master of Magnetism!

Hafbor Julius Björnsson as Juggernaut

If you seen Game Of Thrones, you know this beast of a man as The Mountain. Nuff said.

Sofia Boutella as Mystique

The Mummy’s Boutella is as graceful as a dancer as she is a fighter. She would make a fantastic Mystique.

David Harbour as Sabertooth

Don’t get it twisted, Harbour isn’t that chubby sheriff from Stranger Things anymore. He’s bulked up to be the next Hellboy and would look very menacing as the new Sabertooth!

Lin Shaye as Cassandra Nova

Shaye practically carries the Insidious franchise on her back. The amazing actress would make a very imposing Cassandra Nova, the evil sister of Professor X!

Well there you go, that’s HipZOMJoint’s Role Call for Disney’s Uncanny X-Men. Do you agree, disagree? Who would you cast? Let me know in the comments and stay tuned for future Role Calls. Be sure to check out older role calls in the search menu on my front page.

First Look At Lennie James In Fear The Walking Dead Season 4

Fear The Walking Dead returns April 15th and we have exclusive images of The Walking Dead’s Lennie James on the show. James who plays Morgan, is set to make his debut on Fear as part of the crossover between the two Dead shows.

“As Morgan Jones steps into the world of FTWD, he’ll be continuing the journey he began on The Walking Dead way back in the pilot,” Andrew Chambliss, Fear The Walking Dead co-showrunner, told EW. “Ian and I were huge fans of the character when Lennie James first brought him to life back then, again when he returned in season 3, and finally when he became a series regular in season 6. When we first met Lennie, he impressed upon us how much he cared about the character and how important it was to him for us to take Morgan to places we hadn’t seen before. It’s been a great challenge to set for ourselves, and it’s what we hope to do with the character — to push Morgan to places he could only get by coming into contact with the characters on Fear. They’ll change him. And, at the same time, he’ll change them.”
